For years, Spotify has treated artists as content generators rather than creators: underpaid, undervalued, and buried in an algorithmic swamp.

But now a line has been crossed, and we can no longer be part of a platform whose CEO invests hundreds of millions in AI-based weapons technology, fueling an ever-growing military-industrial complex.

Daniel Ek’s support for weapons development represents a vision we do not want to be part of.

This is a step toward reclaiming the space and meaning of what we do. We believe that music can resist, challenge, and build. We stand in solidarity with the artists who have made this choice, in Italy and around the world.
